WHY BUY NX STAGE
NX STAGE SECURITY is NOT for EVERYONE
Let's face it, there are so many choices for security doors, it is hard to know which features and options are the most important in providing true protection to your family.
We are the first to recognize that our security products are not for everyone. You have to know what you are trying to achieve (e.g. true intrusion prevention, slowing an intruder down, or just a better bug screen), and you have to know which are the most important factors to you (e.g. price, durability, aesthetic appeal, warranties).
If you are just looking for a "more secure bug screen", or you just want to slow a thief down (e.g. stainless steel mesh), we are not for you. Simply put, there are much cheaper options available that will be "good enough".
Our products are for those who are as SERIOUS as we are about protecting their families by KEEPING the BAD GUYS OUT, but don't want that jailhouse look with all the bars.
At NX Stage Security, we use the strongest materials available because all of our products have been designed and built to last for your lifetime, and are backed by the strongest, no-nonsense, lifetime warranties (rust, workmanship, and intrusion prevention) in the industry.
THE NX STAGE DIFFERENCE

HEAVY DUTY PERFORATED STEEL SCREENS vs. BARS or STAINLESS MESH SCREENS
Why Do Almost ALL Security Doors Have Bars?
The reason most security doors have bars or laser-cut art overlays is because they use a very thin grade of perforated screen, or worse yet expanded steel, for their screen. Since these types of screens offer little more protection than the standard screens already in your doors and windows, the real security is the bars, or the laser-cut art inlay. If you want BARLESS security, you have essentially two options: HEAVY DUTY PERFORATED STEEL SCREENS vs. STAINLESS STEEL MESH SCREENS.
What About Stainless Steel Mesh in Security Doors?
There are several companies that make a nice looking bar-less security product by using stainless steel mesh as the screen. These stainless steel screens are strong, rustproof, and aesthetically appealing, and are great options for people looking for products that will just “slow down” the would-be intruder.
However, we have not found one of these products that is backed by a true HOME PROTECTION WARRANTY. Why? Simply put, it is because their door is not designed to keep an intruder out, rather it is designed to deter or slow them down.
NX STAGE DIFFERENCE: HEAVY DUTY SOLID, PERFORATED STEEL SCREENS
Our screens are built to KEEP the BAD GUYS OUT!
The 16-gauge, heavy-duty, perforated steel screens we use are 150% thicker than flexible stainless steel mesh, and 200% thicker than the screens on an average security door – offering the MAXIMUM PROTECTION available It is the strength of our screen that allows us to create a bar-less security product that is backed by the strongest Home Protection Warranty in the industry.
Why don’t more manufacturers use thicker screens then? Because it is expensive. In fact, we can almost build an entire low-end security door using thin screens and bars cheaper than we can buy a single sheet of the heavy duty perforated steel screening we use in our doors. No, really!
It is the thickness of the screen, which also allows us to have holes in our screens that are 1/8" in diameter (on center) The size of these holes allows in the most amount of light and airflow, giving the clearest views – WITHOUT COMPROMISING SECURITY! The views are so clear that once installed, most of our clients forget that they are even looking through a screen at all.
HEAVY DUTY GALVANIZED STEEL DOORS & FRAMES vs. ALLOYS/THIN GAUGE STEEL
NX STAGE DIFFERENCE: HEAVY DUTY GALVANIZED STEEL DOORS & FRAMES
There are many products out there today that are constructed from aluminum alloys. The reason alloys are used is because they are cheaper to produce and are inherently rustproof. While these can be good products, the question we have always asked ourselves is "Have you ever seen jail cell bars made from aluminum alloy?"
Personally, we haven't seen that...ever! Jail cell bars are made from steel for a reason.
In our thinking, if it is good enough to keep criminals in, then it is certainly strong enough to keep them out of your home.
All of our products are constructed using heavy duty, 16-gauge galvanized steel. This steel gives you and your family the strength and durability that other doors simply cannot offer. The galvanizing coating is what protects the steel from elemental rust and corrosion, and when used in conjunction with a powder coated finish, it allows us to offer our lifetime rust-free warranty.
HOOK LOCKSvs. DEAD BOLTS
NX STAGE DIFFERENCE: COMMERCIAL-grade, STEEL HOOKLOCKS
Every door we make – Single, French, and SliderBacks – uses commercial-grade steel hook locks. These hook-locks are made from pressing together 5 layers of steel and the lock is 5/8” thick. Once the hook-bolt is engaged with the galvanized steel framing, it cannot be pried open like security doors with dead-bolts.
In fact, our Single doors and French doors were completely re-engineered and re-designed to accommodate the hook lock, versus the standard deadbolt.
These are the ONLY residential doors you will find that leverage commercial grade hook locks.
POWDER COATINGvs. PAINT
NX STAGE DIFFERENCE: POWDERCOATING
Although Powder coating is a lengthier, more expensive process, it provides a MORE DURABLE, RUST-PROOF FINISH.
We use a 4 STAGE PROCESS to achieve this finish:
- 1. Sand blasting
- 2. Phosphate wash
- 3. Zinc primer (rust inhibitor) applied
- 4. Powder coat is sprayed on and then baked on at high temperatures
Each of these 4 steps is critical to ensure a finish that will last for the life of your door if properly maintained and we back it up with our Rust Free Warranty.
IRON CLAD WARRANTIESvs. FEEL GOOD WARRANTIES
NX STAGE DIFFERENCE: LIFETIME WARRANTIES without LOOPHOLES
At NX Stage Security, we use the strongest materials available because all of our products have been designed and built to last for your lifetime, and are backed by the strongest, no-nonsense in the industry - lifetime warranties for RUST, WORKMANSHIP, and HOME PROTECTION.
We are so confident in all of our products, that we are the ONLY COMPANY that offers a HOME PROTECTION WARRANTY backed by a money back guarantee for every product we make (not just the front security door), if anyone should ever break in to your home through one of our products. These are no-nonsense warranties that are not just "feel good" warranties designed to get you to buy, but are mired in so many exclusions and loopholes that we never have to pay. If our product fails to protect you, we will reimburse you for the purchase price of the product that failed.
This is in addition to our LIFETIME RUSTFREE WARRANTY + WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY.
DIRECT MOUNTING vs. TRIM BOARD MOUNTING
NX STAGE DIFFERENCE: DIRECT MOUNTING
This is one of the most important features in the design of our doors. NX Stage Security doors are designed to fit OVER the existing door, NOT WITHIN the EXISTING DOOR FRAME.
Why does this matter?
Well, most doors are designed to fit within the existing door frame, which means they are mounted into the trim board. What most people don't understand is that it doesn't matter if your security door is mounted with one-way security screws, because those screws are only as strong as the trim board into which they are mounted. In this mounting method, there is just not enough structural support and strength to withstand a concerted attack from a thief with a crowbar.
NX Stage Security doors, on the other hand, are designed to be mounted OVER the existing door, which means we lag bolt into the FRAMING STUDS and HEADER that support the existing door. Mounting into structural wood gives the strength necessary to ensure that your security door is there to stay and will not be pried out.
CUSTOM SIZESvs. STANDARD SIZES
NX STAGE DIFFERENCE: CUSTOM SIZES
Our competitors typically create several different standard sizes and may be able to modify one of their standard sizes to fit your project...MAYBE!
All of our products are built to order. This allows us to create products in custom sizes others simply cannot. Whether you have a 12' long slider, a 48" wide front door, or a 9' long window, there is nothing too big or too small for our craftsmen to design and build to protect your home.
